Owain Lloyd-Williams has been in the SEO and digital marketing space for around 12 years, and has vast experience overseeing organic digital strategies for a leading global brands in an agency, in-house and consulting capacity.
With a background in English literature (coupled with early lofty aspirations of authorship), he initially cut his teeth in SEO during a long stint working in China in a previous life where he was editor of a popular online expat magazine. Since then, he’s gone on to work with a wide array of different brands across various verticals in both agency and client-side SEO. He has deep expertise technical SEO auditing, keyword research, content campaigns and everything in between. Before becoming an independent consultant in 2020, he held leadership roles as Head of EU SEO for Samsung-owned agency Cheil as well as Head of SEO for freelance marketplace website PeoplePerHour.
As an independent consultant, he’s either found leading stakeholder management and SEO strategy for large enterprise companies or deep down the rabbit holes of international SEO, content and technical SEO. He also has a niche specialism in China SEO. This is owing to his Chinese language skills and experience overseeing SEO and digital campaigns for major western luxury, fashion and hospitality brands entering the Chinese market.
