Johan Björtin is a Senior SEO and Web Analytics consultant with a background in both frontend and backend development for several years. As the Head of Data Insights at SQLI Nordics, his main goal is to help clients in both B2C and B2B e-commerce to thrive with Google Search. By utilizing data in decision-making processes, his experience complements well with UX and Design to emphasize the importance of optimization that ultimately enriches the overall user experience.

With a background in coding and overall open source development, Johan has built a knowledge base that, in one way or another, covers a 360-degree view of the digital experience. With an eagerness to always challenge his comfort zone, he has explored the many facets of the "digital being," such as building the frontend for Liseberg.se, the largest amusement park in Sweden, or the website Goteborg.com, representing Gothenburg as the second-largest city in the country.

Aside from programming, he has worked closely with Scandinavian Airlines, sas.se, developing the EuroBonus program and being in charge of the distribution of email marketing campaigns across all the Nordic countries (and incidentally the whole world, but just once). In the field of SEO and Web Analytics, Johan has been in charge of implementing Web Analytics and technical SEO for several Burger King and Diesel campaigns during his years with Crispin Porter + Bogusky, alongside work within UX and Planning for clients such as Discovery and Arctic Paper.

During his time at Ottoboni and Nordic Morning, he conducted measurement plans and was deeply involved with the overall technical SEO strategy for clients such as L'Oreal Paris and Santa Maria.

According to Johan himself, the most prestigious and demanding SEO project he ever undertook was back in 2017 when he was in charge of the relaunch of not just another website, but a search engine itself. The website www.synonymer.se in question is among the Top 10 most visible websites on Google in Sweden according to SISTRIX with a VI score of 500+, and is the number one search engine in Sweden for synonyms, antonyms, and grammar, with a 6,400% advantage over the website of the Swedish Academy's official website.

Johan is also a speaker at various conferences covering topics such as technical SEO, website migration projects, and CRO. In the Nordics, events worth mentioning are VFM, MXNEY WORLD, Epi/Optimizely Ascend, and several webinars. Johan also teaches SEO and Web Analytics to students building a career in online sales & marketing.

Aside from Johan's day-to-day job, he enjoys playing classical guitar in the style of Estas Tonne, playing golf with a great portion of inspiration from PGA professionals without any major success. And he considers himself always being a student, challenging everything he has learned so far.
